CEDRUS N°11 • STRUCTURA

Order in Motion

STRUCTURA interprets architecture as an ever-evolving language. Layers of lines intersect, overlap and extend across the surface, creating a composition where precision meets spontaneity. This accumulation of linear gestures evokes urban plans, architects’ sketches and the invisible geometries that structure our environment.

Rather than imposing a perfectly regular order, STRUCTURA allows it to emerge naturally through rhythm, repetition, intersections and subtle imbalances. The design therefore appears to construct itself freely across the surface of the rug.

Material and Textures

Entirely crafted in high-pressure Handtufted in a refined blend of New Zealand wool, Bamboo and Hemp, STRUCTURA develops a true architecture of materials and reliefs. The different lines are distinguished by their textures, heights and nuances, creating multiple layers of interpretation within a single composition.

Particularly precise sculpting emphasises certain lines while others appear to emerge directly from the surface. The contrast between smooth areas, raised lines and rawer elements creates a sophisticated interplay of light and shadow, reinforcing the architectural character of the rug while maintaining a dense and generous surface.

A Contemporary Structure

With STRUCTURA, CEDRUS transforms geometry into emotion. Discipline and freedom coexist within a composition that evolves according to perspective: from a distance, the lines form an abstract and balanced framework; up close, the richness of the materials, intersections and different reliefs reveals the full complexity of the design.

More than a geometric pattern, STRUCTURA becomes a true architectural landscape, a graphic structure capable of interacting naturally with the lines and volumes of a contemporary interior.

Like every CEDRUS creation, STRUCTURA provides a starting point for a bespoke piece. Dimensions, shape and colours can be adapted to the project, as can the proportions, scale, density and distribution of the different lines, allowing its graphic structure to be reinterpreted according to the architecture of each space.
