Developed entirely around Abaca, a plant fibre with a distinctive character, the collection echoes the raw and organic textures that shape the identity of Mediterranean interiors. The natural richness of the fibre, its nuances and subtle irregularities become essential elements of the collection’s aesthetic language.
The distinctive character of the Baléares Collection also lies in its Handknitted technique. Entirely worked by hand, the Abaca fibre is structured into successive stitches, creating generous, tactile and deeply textured surfaces. Lines, repetitions and variations in rhythm create a graphic construction whose relief evolves with the light and the eye. The knitted structure thus becomes an integral part of the design, while allowing the material itself to remain at the forefront.
Abaca can be worked in its Natural tones, fully revealing its organic and naturally irregular nuances, or with coloured fibres, allowing for a broader palette and more distinctive expressions. From luminous natural tones and warm browns to deeper shades, colour interacts with the structure of the fibre, revealing the volumes and reliefs of the artisanal work in different ways.
