POESIA COLLECTION When material becomes language.

The latest SIGNATURE collection by ELSEN AND SON, the POÉSIA collection was conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the decorative rug. It develops a subtle language of textures, rhythms and reliefs, where the pattern gently emerges through the material rather than imposing itself.

Composed of seven distinct designs — Éclat, Astéria, Cassandre, Ondée, Récit, Épopée and Lyra — the collection explores different relationships between geometry, movement and light. Delicate diamonds, graphic compositions, oblique lines, architectural repetitions and more poetic weaves give rise to surfaces that are both expressive and understated, capable of structuring a space while maintaining an elegant and serene presence.

Entirely handmade according to the traditional craftsmanship of ELSEN AND SON, POÉSIA stands out through a distinctive weaving technique combining overweaving and loop work. This particular construction allows the design to emerge directly from the material, creating a unique relief in which patterns, textures and variations in height interact with the light.

The collection is primarily crafted in P-WOOL, a fibre selected notably for its washable properties and ease of maintenance, while retaining the appearance, texture and comfort expected from a high-end interior rug. Depending on the desired result, hemp can also be incorporated selectively to enhance certain reliefs and bring additional texture, irregularity and a more organic dimension to the surface. This combination remains optional, allowing each creation to be adapted even further to the atmosphere of the project.

As with all ELSEN AND SON creations, each POÉSIA rug is fully customisable. Dimensions, proportions, shapes and colours can be adjusted to respond precisely to the architectural requirements and identity of each interior. The colours of the background and of the overwoven loops can also be differentiated, offering an additional level of customisation.
