NOMAD SPIRIT COLLECTIONNomadic spirit, reinterpreted with elegance.

With NOMAD SPIRIT, ELSEN AND SON revisits the world of kilims and the aesthetics of nomadic rugs through a contemporary collection where the strength of graphic design meets the simplicity of the material. Inspired by open landscapes, traditional textile craftsmanship and a certain sense of freedom, the collection develops a warm, graphic and timeless identity.

Entirely handwoven in wool, NOMAD SPIRIT rugs explore a particularly rich visual vocabulary. Diamonds, broken lines, central motifs, geometric compositions, repetitive rhythms and deliberately more minimalist designs interact throughout the collection. Some pieces make a strong graphic statement, while others favour just a few almost elementary lines across a surface where the material itself takes centre stage.

The nomadic inspiration is deliberately reinterpreted rather than reproduced. Traditional motifs are simplified, enlarged, deconstructed or recomposed to give them a more contemporary expression, allowing the collection to integrate naturally into both minimalist interiors and warmer, more eclectic settings.

The flatwoven kilim construction is an integral part of this aesthetic. The surface retains the subtle variations and slight irregularities inherent to hand craftsmanship, bringing depth and authenticity to the designs without seeking the uniformity of industrial production.

The collection favours a harmony of natural and earthy tones, combining ecru, sand, beige, camel and deep brown. The contrast between these shades emphasises the geometry of the patterns while maintaining a soft and natural palette. Depending on the design, fringes may finish certain edges of the rug, subtly reinforcing its textile and handcrafted character.

Beyond the different designs within the collection, dimensions and colours can be adapted to meet the specific requirements of a project and create a piece in harmony with its surroundings.

A SIGNATURE collection where the heritage of the kilim, the warmth of wool and the freedom of nomadic design meet the restraint of contemporary design.
